Why Choose Paint Enhancement Detail?

Over time, daily driving, automated car washes, and poor washing technique leave behind fine scratches and swirl marks that dull a car's paintwork. The Paint Enhancement Detail is DMD Car Detailing's entry-level correction service, designed to lift that haze and bring back depth and clarity without the time or cost of a full multi-stage correction. Using a single-stage machine polish, I typically achieve a 60% reduction in swirl marks, depending on the vehicle's paint condition and how deep the existing defects are. Once the polishing stage is complete, the paintwork is finished with a ceramic coating — either a 2-year or 5-year option — locking in the shine and adding a durable layer of protection against UV, contaminants, and everyday wear. This service suits vehicles in reasonably good condition that need a refresh rather than heavy correction. If your paintwork has deeper scratching or years of neglect, my Minor Paint Correction or Major Paint Correction services go further with multi-stage polishing.

Paint Enhancement FAQs

How long does the Paint Enhancement Detail take?

Most vehicles take one to two days to complete, though timing can vary depending on the size of the car and its paint condition. We'll confirm an estimated timeframe when I inspect your vehicle.

Will this remove deep scratches?

The Enhancement Detail is a single-stage polish aimed at light swirl marks and surface haze, typically reducing them by around 60%. Deeper scratches that catch a fingernail usually need my Minor or Major Paint Correction service, which uses a multi-stage process.

What's the difference between Enhancement, Minor, and Major Paint Correction?

Enhancement is a single polishing stage for light defects. Minor and Major Paint Correction use two or more stages to remove deeper swirls, scratches, and oxidation, with Major offering the most thorough correction for heavily marked paintwork.

How long does the ceramic coating last?

You can choose between a Feynlab V2 coating (2-year protection) or a Carbon Collective Duel Coating System (5-year protection), both applied after polishing is complete.

Do I need to book an inspection first?

Yes. Because every vehicle's paint condition differs, I confirm the exact price and any recommendations after inspecting the car in person, before starting any work.

How much does it cost?

Prices start from £500 and vary by vehicle size and paint condition. See the full price list for other services, or an exact quote is given after an in-person inspection.
