Minor Paint Correction on a 2003 Mercedes S500 in Brilliant Silver Metallic
This 2003 Mercedes S500 came to my workshop at Murray Business Park, Paisley for a Minor Paint Correction. I carried out a two-stage machine polish to refine the Brilliant Silver Metallic paintwork and remove light swirls and marring built up over the years, then protected it with Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating.
The challenge: Brilliant Silver paintwork
A car with this much presence deserves paintwork to match. Silver is great at hiding dirt, but years of washing and general use had left light swirls and marring across the bodywork, which dulled the gloss and flattened the metallic flake.
The solution: two-stage machine polish
A Minor Paint Correction suits paintwork with light to moderate defects that need more than a single polish. I used a two-stage process. The first stage is a polishing step to level out the defects, and the second is a finishing polish to bring back the gloss, clarity and depth of the metallic flake. A proper polish shows just how sharp silver paint can look.
Protection: Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating
Once the correction was complete, I protected the paintwork with Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating. It gives the S500:
- A deep, glossy finish that shows off the refined metallic flake
- Long-lasting protection against UV rays, road grime and everyday contaminants
- A slicker surface that makes the car much easier to keep clean
The coating helps protect the finish I’ve just refined, so the car stays looking its best for longer.
