Paint Correction for Barrhead Cars
Swirl marks and light scratches are mostly caused by washing: brush car washes, dirty sponges and drying with the wrong towel. I remove them by machine polishing under proper inspection lighting, choosing the level of correction your paint needs:
- Paint Enhancement: a single-stage polish for light swirls and haze
- Minor Paint Correction: a two-stage polish for moderate swirls and scratches
- Major Paint Correction: a multi-stage correction for heavily marked paint
Ceramic Coating
Once the paint is corrected, a ceramic coating locks in the finish. It makes washing quicker, helps stop dirt from sticking and protects against bird droppings, salt and UV. I use Feynlab and Carbon Collective coatings. Find out more about my ceramic coatings.

Getting to DMD from Barrhead
My workshop is at Unit 90A, Murray Business Park, Murray Street, Paisley PA3 1QT. It's around 15 minutes' drive from Barrhead.
I open at 7:30am, Monday to Friday, so you can drop your car off on the way to work and collect it once it's ready. Paisley St James train station is a few minutes' walk from the workshop if you need to get back.
I also look after cars from nearby Neilston, Uplawmoor and the rest of East Renfrewshire.

FAQ
Is it worth correcting and coating an older car?
Often, yes. Paint that looks tired and dull usually has a lot of gloss hiding under the swirls. Correction brings it back, and a coating makes it much easier to keep that way.
What's the difference between paint enhancement and paint correction?
Paint enhancement is a single polish that removes light swirls and boosts gloss. Paint correction uses two or more stages to remove deeper marks. I'll look at your car and recommend the right level, so you don't pay for more than you need.
Will paint correction remove every scratch?
Not always. If a scratch goes through the clear coat, polishing can improve it but not remove it completely. I'll tell you before I start what's realistic for your car.
Can I drop my car off before work?
Yes. I open at 7:30am, Monday to Friday, and I'll let you know when your car is ready to collect.
