New Car Ceramic Coating in Paisley: Volkswagen Golf R Black Edition in Dolphin Grey Metallic
This brand new 2026 Volkswagen Golf R Black Edition came to my workshop at Murray Business Park, Paisley for my New Car Ceramic Coating package. The aim was to protect its Dolphin Grey Metallic paintwork from day one.
Why a new car still needs paint preparation
Even a car fresh from the dealer needs proper preparation. New paintwork can carry transport residue, fallout and embedded contaminants picked up on the way from factory to forecourt. If a coating goes on over these, it won’t bond properly and won’t last as long as it should.
Before any coating went on, I fully decontaminated the paintwork. That left a clean, properly prepped surface for the coating to bond to.
The protection: Carbon Collective Ceramic Coating
Once prepped, I protected the paintwork with Carbon Collective Ceramic Coating. It gives the Golf R:
- A deep, glossy finish that suits the Dolphin Grey Metallic
- Long-lasting protection against UV rays, road grime, bird droppings and everyday contaminants
- A slicker surface that is much easier to keep clean, so the car stays looking sharp for longer
