Paint Enhancement Detail on a 2026 KIA Sportage in Ebony Black Metallic
This 2026 KIA Sportage came to my workshop at Murray Business Park, Paisley for a Paint Enhancement Detail. I carried out a single-stage machine polish to refine the Ebony Black Metallic paintwork and bring out a deeper, glossier finish, then protected it with Carbon Collective Ceramic Coating.
The challenge: Ebony Black paintwork
Even a newer car can pick up light swirls and marring from the factory, transport and dealer preparation. Dark colours like Ebony Black show every one of them in direct light, which takes the depth and clarity out of the finish.
The solution: single-stage machine polish
A Paint Enhancement Detail suits paintwork that is in good condition but has lost some of its clarity and shine. I carried out a careful single-stage machine polish across the bodywork to remove those imperfections and restore clarity, depth and shine, without taking off more paint than necessary.
Protection: Carbon Collective Ceramic Coating
Once the polishing was complete, I protected the paintwork with Carbon Collective Ceramic Coating. It gives the Sportage:
- A deep, glass-like gloss that suits the Ebony Black Metallic
- Long-lasting protection against UV rays, road grime, bird droppings and everyday contaminants
- A slicker surface that is much easier to keep clean
The coating helps protect the finish I’ve just refined, so the car stays looking its best for longer.
Is a paint enhancement right for your car?
If your paintwork looks a little swirled or lacking in gloss but doesn’t need heavy correction, a Paint Enhancement Detail is often the best balance of results and value, even on a newer car. Not sure what your car needs? Get in touch and I’ll take a look and recommend the right option.
