Ceramic Coating and Paint Correction for Milngavie Drivers
Milngavie sits right on the edge of the countryside. Loch Lomond, the Campsies and the Trossachs are all close by, and that's great for weekend drives. It's not so great for your paint: bugs in summer, tar and loose chippings on country roads, and mud and salt through the winter.
I've been detailing cars for nearly 20 years, and I specialise in ceramic coating and paint correction. Every job is done by me, in my indoor workshop at Murray Business Park in Paisley.

Ceramic Coating: Bugs and Tar Wipe Away
Bug splatter and tar can etch into unprotected paint if left on. On a coated car, they sit on top of the coating instead of bonding to the paint, so they come off far more easily. I use Feynlab and Carbon Collective coatings, with up to five years' protection. See my ceramic coatings.
Paint Correction
If bug etching, swirls or light scratches have already dulled the paint, I'll machine polish them out before coating, with the lightest level of correction that does the job. See my paint correction services.
Wheels, Glass and Interior
Wheel coatings make brake dust and road grime easier to wash off, and glass coating helps rain clear at speed on open roads. I also deep clean and protect interiors, which is handy after muddy boots and walking gear. See interior and exterior detailing.
Getting to DMD from Milngavie
My workshop is at Unit 90A, Murray Business Park, Murray Street, Paisley PA3 1QT, around 30 minutes from Milngavie over the Erskine Bridge.
Coating and correction usually take a few days, so it's a drop-off service, and I'll send you photo updates while I work. Paisley St James train station is a few minutes' walk from the workshop if you need to get back.
I also look after cars from neighbouring Bearsden and across Glasgow.

FAQ
Will a coating stop stone chips from country roads?
No. A ceramic coating protects against bugs, tar, bird droppings, salt and UV, and makes washing much easier, but it won't stop stone chips. For chip protection on the front of the car, paint protection film is the right product.
How should I clean bugs off a coated car?
Soak them first with a pre-wash or bug remover, give it a minute, then rinse. Avoid scrubbing. On a coated car most of it lifts off with very little effort.
Can you remove bug etching that's already there?
Often, yes. Light etching can usually be polished out. Deeper marks can be improved a lot, even if they can't be removed completely.
How long will my car be with you?
Most coatings take one to four days, depending on how much paint prep the car needs. I'll give you a clear timescale when you book.
