Paint Enhancement Detail on a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Landmark Edition in Indus Silver

This 2016 Land Rover Discovery Landmark Edition came to my workshop at Murray Business Park, Paisley for a Paint Enhancement Detail. I carried out a single-stage machine polish to refine the Indus Silver paintwork, then protected it with Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating.

The challenge: Indus Silver paintwork


Indus Silver is a great colour on the Discovery, but like any silver metallic it shows imperfections under the right light. Years of washing, road grime and general use had left light swirling and surface marring across the bodywork, which dulled the gloss and took the sharpness out of the metallic finish.


The solution: single-stage machine polish


A Paint Enhancement Detail suits paintwork that is in fairly good condition but has lost its clarity and shine. I carried out a careful single-stage machine polish across the whole vehicle to remove light swirls and marring and bring back gloss and depth, without taking off more paint than necessary.


Protection: Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating


Once the correction was complete, I protected the paintwork with Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating. It gives the Discovery:

  • A durable, glossy finish that shows off the Indus Silver
  • Long-term protection against UV damage, dirt and everyday contaminants
  • A slicker surface that is easier to wash and maintain


Without protection, freshly polished paint soon starts picking up swirls again, so the coating is what keeps the results looking good for longer.
