This week I had the pleasure of protecting a stunning BMW 1 Series 120 M Sport in Thundernight Metallic Purple at my workshop at Murray Business Park, Paisley, as part of my new car ceramic coating service.

Why protect a new car from day one?


A new car has the best paintwork it will ever have. From the moment it leaves the showroom, it’s exposed to road grime, bird droppings, UV light and the Scottish weather, and every wash adds the risk of swirls and light scratches.


This BMW came to me for a new car protection package. The aim was simple: get that showroom paint protected before it ever sees a scratch or swirl.


The protection: Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating


I applied Feynlab V2 Ceramic Coating to the paintwork. It gives the BMW:

  • Long-lasting hydrophobic protection, so water beads and rolls off the surface
  • Enhanced gloss and depth in the Thundernight Metallic finish
  • Resistance to UV fading, bird droppings and chemical staining
  • A slick, easy-to-clean surface that makes regular washing quicker and safer for the paint


About Thundernight Metallic


Thundernight is a striking colour. It shifts between deep purple and near-black depending on the light, and the metallic flake really comes alive on a clean, glossy surface. With the coating on, that finish is protected for the long haul.
