Fresh from the showroom, this Audi Q8 55 TFSI S Line in Daytona Grey Metallic came to my workshop at Murray Business Park, Paisley for my New Car Ceramic Coating package. The aim was to protect that flawless factory paintwork from day one.
Why a new car still needs paint preparation
A brand new car isn’t as clean as it looks. Paintwork can carry manufacturing residues, transport film and embedded contaminants picked up on the way from factory to dealer. If a coating is applied over these, it won’t bond properly and the finish won’t last as long as it should.
Before any coating went on, I fully decontaminated and prepped the Q8. That left a completely clean surface for the coating to bond to.

Once prepped, I protected the paintwork with Carbon Collective Ceramic Coating. It gives the Q8:
