Car Detailing for Gourock Drivers
If you park on or near the seafront in Gourock, your car is getting a fine coat of sea spray on windy days. If you take it across on the ferry, it can sit on an open deck in the salt air for the whole crossing. Both leave a salty film that dulls the paint and gets into wheels, trim and seals.
I've been detailing cars for nearly 20 years, and I specialise in ceramic coating and paint correction. Every job is done by me, in my indoor workshop at Murray Business Park in Paisley.

Ceramic Coating: Protection from Spray
A ceramic coating stops salt spray from bonding to the paint, so it rinses off instead of building up. It also makes the car far quicker to clean after a crossing or a stormy week. I use Feynlab and Carbon Collective coatings. See my ceramic coatings.
Trim and Headlights
Salt and sun fade black plastic trim and cloud headlights over time. I can bring both back and protect them. See headlight restoration.

Getting to DMD from Gourock
My workshop is at Unit 90A, Murray Business Park, Murray Street, Paisley PA3 1QT, around 30 minutes from Gourock along the A8 and M8. Paisley St James station, a few minutes' walk from the workshop, is on the Inverclyde line, so getting home by train is an option. Check the timetable first, as not every train stops there.
I also look after cars from Greenock, Inverkip and across Inverclyde.

FAQ
Does a coating protect trim and glass too?
The paint coating covers the bodywork. I also offer separate coatings for glass and wheels, and can restore and protect faded trim.
Can I park near the sea with a coated car?
Yes. The coating takes the brunt of the salt instead of your paint. Regular rinsing and an occasional maintenance detail keep it performing.
How long will my car be with you?
Most coatings take one to four days, depending on how much paint prep the car needs. I'll give you a clear timescale when you book.
