The Condition It Came In

Like most cars that have done a fair few miles, this GLC had picked up the usual swirl marks, light scratches and general wash-induced marring that builds up over time - nothing dramatic, but enough to dull what's a genuinely gorgeous deep blue colour. Nautic Blue Metallic is one of those colours that really shows up paint defects under the right light, so the dulling was more noticeable than it might be on a lighter shade.

Why Minor Paint Correction Was the Right Call

Not every car needs a full multi-stage correction. After inspecting the paintwork under workshop lighting, it was clear this GLC's defects were light enough that a Minor Paint Correction would get the job done properly - a two-stage machine polish that removes the majority of swirl marks and light scratches without the time or cost of a heavier correction. Going straight to a Major Correction on paint that doesn't need it just adds expense without a meaningfully better result, so it's always worth having the paint properly assessed first rather than assuming the biggest package is the right one.
