Ceramic Coating and Matte Paint Protection for Newton Mearns Drivers
Matte and satin finishes look incredible, and they're becoming more common on new cars. They also need completely different care from gloss paint. You can't polish out a mark, a normal wax or sealant can leave shiny patches, and the wrong car wash can ruin the finish for good.
I've been detailing cars for nearly 20 years, and I specialise in ceramic coating and paint correction, including matte and satin finishes. Every job is done by me, in my indoor workshop at Murray Business Park in Paisley.

Matte and Satin Paint Protection
I clean and prepare matte finishes without polishing, then apply a matte-specific coating that protects the paint without adding any gloss. Recently that included a brand-new Cupra Terramar in matte green. See matte paint protection.

Getting to DMD from Newton Mearns
My workshop is at Unit 90A, Murray Business Park, Murray Street, Paisley PA3 1QT, around 25 minutes from Newton Mearns. Coating work takes a few days, so it's a drop-off service, and I'll send photo updates while I work. Paisley St James train station is a few minutes' walk from the workshop.

FAQ
Can matte paint be ceramic coated?
Yes, with a coating made for matte finishes. It protects the paint without adding shine, and makes it much easier to keep clean.
How should I wash a matte car?
Use a matte-safe shampoo, avoid brush car washes, and never use wax, polish or quick detailers made for gloss paint. They can leave shiny or blotchy patches.
Can you remove scratches from matte paint?
Unlike gloss paint, matte can't be polished, so scratches can't be corrected the same way. That's why protecting it early matters so much.
How long will my car be with you?
Most coatings take one to four days, depending on the finish and how much prep it needs. I'll give you a clear timescale when you book.
