What Is Paint Correction?
Every car picks up imperfections over time — swirl marks from automatic car washes, fine scratches from poor drying technique, holograms from incorrect polishing. Paint correction uses machine polishing to gradually cut back a microscopically thin layer of clear coat, levelling out these defects and restoring a smooth, reflective, swirl-free finish. Once the paintwork is corrected, I apply a ceramic coating to seal and protect it — so the results last, and your car stays easier to clean and more resistant to future damage.
The Full Process
Every paint correction and ceramic coating package includes:
- Non-acid wheel cleaning
- Door shuts and boot shut cleaned
- Snow foam pre-wash
- Two-bucket wash with premium wash mitts and grit guards
- Tar removal
- Fall-out remover treatment
- Full clay bar decontamination
- Second snow foam wash
- Hand drying with soft microfibre towels and an air drier
- Machine polishing to remove swirls, scratches, and imperfections (stage depends on package — see below)
- Full wipe-down to remove polishing oils and maximise coating bonding
- Ceramic coating application (2 or 5 year protection options)
- Exhaust tailpipes polished
- Tyres and trims dressed
